Refund Policy

This Refund Policy explains the conditions under which DocuSmartly offers refunds for paid services. By making a purchase, you agree to this policy.

1. Free Services

The vast majority of DocuSmartly tools (compress, merge, split, sign, convert, OCR, basic CV templates) are completely free with no payment required. This Refund Policy applies only to paid premium features.

2. Paid Services Covered

  • Premium CV/Resume templates — one-time purchases (₹49 / ₹99 / ₹149 per template)
  • Subscription plans — monthly access to all premium templates

3. Refund Eligibility

3a. Premium Templates (One-Time Purchase)

Premium template purchases are non-refundable once the template has been downloaded or used to generate a CV, because the digital deliverable cannot be returned.

Refunds may be issued in the following cases:

  • You were charged but the template did not unlock due to a technical error on our side.
  • You were charged twice for the same template due to a payment processing glitch.
  • You purchased by mistake and have not yet downloaded or used the template.

3b. Subscription Plans

  • You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation prevents future charges; the current billing period remains active until its end date.
  • Partial refunds for unused subscription days are not provided, since you retain full access during the paid period.
  • If you were charged after cancellation due to a technical error, contact us within 7 days for a refund.
Important: Refund requests must be raised within 7 days of the original transaction date. Requests made after this window will not be processed.

4. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, email docusmartlyhelp@gmail.com with the following details:

  • Your registered email address
  • Razorpay payment ID (starts with pay_) — found in your payment confirmation email
  • Date of transaction
  • Reason for refund request

We aim to respond to all refund requests within 2 business days.

5. Refund Processing Time

If your refund is approved:

  • Refunds are processed via Razorpay back to the original payment method (UPI / card / netbanking / wallet).
  • Funds typically reflect in your account within 5–7 business days, depending on your bank.
  • You will receive an email confirmation once the refund is initiated from our end.

6. Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds will not be issued in the following cases:

  • Change of mind after a template has been downloaded or used.
  • Failure to read the template description or preview before purchase.
  • Issues caused by user device, browser, or internet connection (we provide free previews to verify before purchase).
  • Refund requests made more than 7 days after the transaction.
  • Disputes raised directly with the bank (chargebacks) without first attempting to resolve via email.

7. Failed or Pending Payments

If your payment was deducted from your bank but the template did not unlock, please do not retry the payment. Contact us with the transaction reference; we'll either unlock the template or issue a refund within 2 business days.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Changes will apply to transactions made after the updated effective date. Past purchases follow the policy in effect at the time of purchase.
