Cancellation Policy

This Cancellation Policy explains how you can cancel your DocuSmartly subscription and what happens once you do. One-time template purchases are not subscriptions and are covered separately under our Refund Policy.
1. What Can Be Cancelled
- Subscription plans — recurring monthly/yearly access to all premium CV/resume templates.
- One-time template purchases cannot be cancelled after the template has been unlocked, since they are not recurring.
2. How to Cancel Your Subscription
- Log in to your DocuSmartly account.
- Open the CV Maker tool.
- Click your profile/account area in the top right.
- Select "Manage Subscription" → "Cancel Subscription".
- Confirm cancellation. You'll receive a confirmation email immediately.
If you don't see this option or need help, email docusmartlyhelp@gmail.com with your registered email and we'll cancel it for you within 1 business day.
3. What Happens After You Cancel
- You retain full access to all premium templates until the end of your current billing period. For example, if you cancel on the 10th and your billing date is the 20th, you'll have premium access until the 20th.
- No further charges will be made after cancellation.
- After your billing period ends, your account reverts to the free tier (free templates remain accessible).
- Any CVs you've already created and saved remain in your account permanently — cancellation does not delete your data.
Refunds: Cancellation does not automatically trigger a refund for the current billing period, since you continue to enjoy premium access until that period ends. See our

4. Re-Activating After Cancellation
You can re-subscribe at any time by visiting the CV Maker and choosing a plan again. There's no waiting period and no penalty for cancelling and re-joining.
5. Auto-Renewal
Subscription plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period using the same payment method, until you cancel. You will receive an email reminder before each renewal.
6. Account Deletion
Cancelling your subscription is different from deleting your account. To permanently delete your account and all associated data, email docusmartlyhelp@gmail.com from your registered email address. Account deletion is irreversible.
7. Failed Cancellation
If you cancel but receive a charge in the next cycle anyway, this is likely a technical error. Email us within 7 days with your Razorpay payment ID for a full refund (per our Refund Policy).
