How to Convert PDF to JPG for Online Form Uploads

September 27, 2026 · 5 min read

Your caste certificate, mark sheet or experience letter came as a PDF — but the application portal only accepts a JPG. Sometimes it's even pickier: ".jpeg only", "maximum 200 KB". This guide turns the right page of your PDF into a JPG that the form will take, free and in your browser, without uploading your documents to a converter site.

Before you start: check what the form wants

How to convert a PDF to JPG in 5 steps

  1. Open PDF to Images and upload the PDF. It's read in your browser, not uploaded.
  2. Output format: choose JPEG (.jpg) or JPEG (.jpeg) — whichever the form asks for. Don't use PNG for a scan unless asked; it's usually a much bigger file.
  3. Image quality: pick Low for strict size limits, Medium for everything else (see the table below).
  4. Which pages? Type just the page you need — for example 1. Leave it empty to convert every page.
  5. Convert & Download (ZIP). You get one ZIP with a JPG for each page, named like …_page-001.jpg.

The file size also depends on the page itself — a mostly white certificate comes out much smaller than a colourful, photo-heavy page. Always check the size of the JPG before uploading.

The tool always packs the images into a ZIP, even for one page.

Common questions

Are JPG and JPEG different?

No — same format, two extensions. Pick whichever the form's validator accepts.

Can I put both pages in one JPG?

Not with this tool — each PDF page becomes its own JPG. If a form needs both pages, check whether it accepts a PDF instead.

Is my document uploaded?

No. PDF to Images runs entirely in your browser; your certificate never reaches a server.
